The British & Irish Lions thrashed the Ozzys to win the test series for the first time since 1997.
An emphatic game, saw the very best of the Lions break through in the second half, with a total of 4 tries by the visitors.
Lions were able to dominate the first 20 minutes through their powerful scrum which led to a try by Corbisiero. Halfpenny was on fire in this 3rd and final test, converting the points and scoring a penalty from the half way line.
The Lions scrum was so dominant; forcing consistent penalties to the point that Ben Alexander was deemed the culprit, and when referee Romain Poite dispatched the Australia prop to the sin-bin for collapsing another scrum.
Australia at 3-19 behind did not lie down, and came back fighting. Phase after phase of attack, the Wallabies had 3-4 penalty opportunities, however elected to aim for touch. Maybe not enough confidence in their goal kickers or just pure grit. They did, however score a well worked try as O'Connor stepped past Sexton and O'Brien to squeeze over the line. Leali'ifano's conversion cutting the deficit to nine points at 10-19.
Australia followed up with 2 quick penalties and were within 3 points at 16-19 and the crowds butt cheeks started getting very tense again. A fear of Melbourne ran through every Lions supporter - had the Lion gone at it too early and gassed out? Had Australia managed to control the violent Lions scrum?... The Lions answered back..
The man of the tournament, the ultimate Lion, the player of the year, probably the player of the decade, all hail Leigh Halfpenny, started the counter strike and scored a penalty on the 51st minute to bring the score to 16-22.
The Lions forwards picked up again and smashed the Ozzy front 3 and drove them back providing a great platform for the backs. Sexton, Bowe and Davis smashed through for Sexton to score and take the game away at 16-29.
With some magic from Halfpenny, stepping inside Genia, North powered down the touch line to make it 34-16. And the strains of "Bread of Heaven" were still ringing around the stadium. All nations anthems could be clearly heard as the Lions thrived off the fantastic support.
The much loved Roberts was then provided with a great pop ball to smash through the Australia back line and make the 4th try of the match with King Halfpenny converting, the score came to 16-41 and history was made!

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys & Girls, this truely was a legendary day for the British & Irish Lions, one that will go down in the history books, one the Gatland got right even after all the crap everyone has given him. Every play has contributed, stand outs to
Corbisiero, North and Halfpenny, but also to all the coaching staff and medical teams that patched up our boys to have them ready for the next games.
We love you Lions, your legacy continues and we will be there in 4 years time to give some pay back to the All Blacks! Roar on!
